Thanks for being here and spending some time with my creations <3

I should probably introduce myself -- I'm Nikia, a Filipina tinkerer interested in colliding mediums to capture the intricacies of human connection. As an artist, my practice is centered in portrait-style storytelling, capturing a person's essence at a specific moment in time. As an academic, I find myself drawn to studying societal care systems and how we can better build them through spatial design and education.

Currently, I'm pursuing a B.A. in Media Arts + Practice at the University of Southern California, watering my roots in creative writing and filmmaking with new media techniques, such as 3D modeling, creative coding, and mixed animation. When I'm not being a student, you can usually find me taking a dance class, trying out a new restaurant I found on Yelp, or taking a fat nap in the sun.
